CAD Engineers play a vital role in MMC by creating detailed digital drawings and models that feed into automated fabrication, DfMA processes, and platform-based construction. Their precision and ability to adapt digital files for manufacturing and site installation are key to successful offsite and modular delivery.

Education
- Level 3 Diploma, T Level, or HNC/HND in CAD, Engineering, Architectural Technology, or Construction.
- Foundation degree or apprenticeship in Design & Draughting or Digital Engineering.
Training & Certifications
- AutoCAD (2D & 3D) Training
- Revit, Inventor, or SolidWorks Courses
- Drawing Standards & Layering Conventions (BS 8888, ISO standards)
- CNC File Preparation or CAM Integration
- Construction Health & Safety Awareness (e.g. CSCS, CDM)
- Basic BIM Awareness (ISO 19650 or Level 2)
- DfMA & MMC Fundamentals Training
