Structural Engineer

Purpose Of The Role

The structural Engineer designs and assesses the structural systems that ensure buildings and infrastructure are safe, stable, and efficient throughout their lifecycle.

Role In MMC

Structural Engineers play a critical role in MMC by designing systems that are optimised for offsite manufacture, modular assembly, and repeatable platform-based construction. They use digital tools to model performance, reduce material use, and integrate with other disciplines for seamless delivery.

  • Internships or placements with engineering consultancies.

  • Structural Software Training – e.g. Tekla, Robot, Revit, SAP2000
  • Building Regulations & CDM 2015 Awareness
  • DfMA & MMC Design Awareness Courses
