The Material Handling Operative moves, stores, and organises construction materials and components safely and efficiently on a building site or factory floor, so the right materials are in the right place at the right time.

Material Handling Operatives are vital in MMC because they support the flow of prefabricated parts, modular components, and innovative materials on and off the construction site. They ensure materials are handled with care, tracked digitally, and positioned for efficient assembly—key to the speed and accuracy of MMC processes.

  • Safe Pass (mandatory for site entry in Ireland)
  • Manual Handling Certificate
  • CSCS tickets for specialised equipment, e.g., Telescopic Handler, Slinger/Signaller, Forklift Operator
