The Head of Manufacturing leads, oversees, and optimises all manufacturing operations, ensuring the efficient, safe, sustainable, and profitable delivery of MMC products to support construction projects.
Role In MMC
The Head of Manufacturing directs the entire off-site production function, from raw material intake to the delivery of fully prefabricated components or modules. They set strategic goals for productivity, quality, safety, and sustainability, while ensuring alignment with MMC design and project requirements. This role is key to scaling MMC operations, adopting innovative manufacturing technologies, and integrating lean and sustainable practices.

Education
- Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering (advantage)
Training & Certifications
- Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt or equivalent)
- Strategic leadership training
- Health & Safety for senior managers (IOSH/NEBOSH)
- Sustainability and carbon reduction in manufacturing CPD
- BIM/DfMA integration training
