Purpose Of The Role

The MEP Prefabrication Coordinator coordinates the design, planning, and delivery of prefabricated Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring they are produced efficiently off-site and installed seamlessly on-site.

Role In MMC

The MEP Prefabrication Coordinator is a key player in enabling MMC by integrating MEP systems into off-site fabrication workflows. They bridge the gap between digital design and on-site execution, ensuring that MEP assemblies are coordinated early in the design process, efficiently manufactured, and delivered just-in-time to the construction site. Their role supports faster, safer, and higher-quality construction delivery.

  • Higher Certificate in Engineering or Building Services Technology

Training & Certifications

  • BIM Coordination training (Revit, Navisworks, IFC standards)
  • Lean Construction training (e.g. LCi Yellow/Green Belt)
  • Safe Pass, Manual Handling, and Working at Height certifications
  • Familiarity with ISO 19650 (BIM standard) and MMC guidelines
