This course aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills to apply external wall insulation (EWI) using best practices. At the end of this course, successful learners will have received the theoretical and practical training required to be able to participate in the preparation, setting out, and practical application of EWI as part of a retrofit project.

This course is designed for all those involved in construction/engineering projects that are using BIM, or those who are considering procuring works with a BIM requirement and those intending on bidding for this work. This course is not designed to look at the technology or standards behind BIM, but instead the legal aspects and the practical impact that the use of BIM will have on your business.

This course focuses on layers 1-3 (sensing and actuation, control and monitoring and supervision of the automation pyramid). The course deals with topics such as pneumatics, sensors, process control and robotics.

This programme will develop innovative, industry-ready, Level 8 Advanced Manufacturing Engineers with the knowledge, skills and competence to be able to improve the productivity, quality, and efficiency of sustainable smart manufacturing operations. 

The Certificate in Intelligent Manufacturing Systems is a Level 9 programme which aspires to bridge the gap between the engineering operations and information technology paradigms in the manufacturing sector.
