Purpose Of The Role

The Director of Quality & Compliance leads and oversees the implementation of quality and compliance strategies, ensuring that all construction activities meet regulatory, contractual, and performance standards across the entire project lifecycle.

In MMC, the Director of Quality and Compliance plays a pivotal role in shaping how quality is embedded into factory-based processes, digital design workflows, and rapid on-site assembly. This role ensures that innovative materials and methods comply with building regulations, client requirements, and international standards. It involves setting strategic direction, overseeing digital quality tools, ensuring third-party certification, and driving a culture of continuous improvement across multidisciplinary teams.

Experience

  • Significant experience (10+ years) in construction quality, compliance, or engineering leadership.
  • Proven background in managing quality across multiple sites, including MMC or offsite facilities.

Education

  • Honours Degree (Level 8) in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality, or a related discipline.
  • Postgraduate qualification in Quality Management, Compliance, or Leadership is advantageous.

Training & Certifications

  • ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification
  • BCAR Compliance and Assigned Certifier Training Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
  • Building Information Modelling (BIM) Level 2 or ISO 19650 Training
  • Health & Safety (e.g., IOSH, NEBOSH)
  • Corporate Governance or Risk Management CPD
