Purpose Of The Role

The Certification Programme Manager designs, manages and assures certification programmes for construction methods, systems, and personnel, ensuring industry standards are met and regulatory compliance is maintained.

Role In MMC

Certification Programme Managers are essential to embedding trust, quality, and safety in MMC practices. They oversee the validation of modular products, processes, and workforce capabilities. This ensures systems are compliant with Irish and international standards, supports innovation uptake, and provides clients and regulators with confidence in offsite and advanced construction methods.

Suggested Entry Routes

Education

  • NFQ Level 7–9 in Construction Management, Engineering, Quality Management or Regulatory Affairs.

Experience

  • Background in construction quality assurance, certification bodies, or regulatory environments.
  • Experience with offsite manufacturing, product accreditation, or compliance audits.

Training & Certifications

  • Quality Systems Management (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor).
  • MMC or offsite construction methods training. CPD in regulatory compliance, sustainability standards, or testing protocols.
