Purpose Of The Role

The MMC Buyer sources, negotiates, and manages the procurement of materials, components, and services for Modern Methods of Construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.

Role In MMC

The MMC Buyer plays a pivotal role in securing specialised products and prefabricated components for off-site and modular builds. They work closely with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure procurement aligns with MMC processes, lead times, and sustainability objectives. By developing strong supplier relationships and leveraging market knowledge, they help maintain project schedules and quality standards while minimising waste and costs.
