Role overview

Job Title

Geomatic Surveyor

Purpose Of The Role

The Geomatic Surveyor measures and maps land, structures, and construction sites with precision, providing essential spatial data to support the planning, design, and delivery of building projects.

Role In MMC

A Geomatic Surveyor is vital to MMC because accurate spatial data underpins digital construction. They use advanced surveying technology, such as laser scanning, drones, and GPS, to produce precise site models and as-built records. This data feeds directly into BIM, digital twins, and prefabrication workflows, ensuring that design and manufacturing processes are based on reliable, real-world measurements. Their work reduces rework, improves off-site manufacturing accuracy, and supports sustainable, data-driven construction.
