Role In MMC
The Preconstruction Manager is key in integrating MMC strategies early in the project lifecycle. They evaluate the suitability of off-site manufacturing, modular building techniques, and sustainable materials to improve cost efficiency, speed of delivery, and quality outcomes. By making these decisions early, they ensure MMC solutions are embedded into the design, procurement, and programme planning stages.

Experience
- Prior experience as an estimator, design manager, project manager, or planner

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Quantity Surveying (or equivalent)
Training & Certifications
- Project management training (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP)
- MMC awareness or integration training
- Lean Construction Institute Ireland training
- Health & Safety training relevant to preconstruction (e.g. PSDP awareness)
