Building Services Engineers are central to delivering MMC by designing systems that support prefabrication, modular installation, and smart controls. They collaborate across disciplines to ensure mechanical, electrical, and public health systems are integrated efficiently into digitally enabled, high-performing buildings.

Education
- BEng or MEng in Building Services Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- HNC/HND in Building Services or Construction Engineering.
- T Levels in Building Services Engineering (for school leavers).
Training & Certifications
- CIBSE Membership & Chartership (CEng/EngTech) – Recognised professional status for engineers.
- Revit MEP or AutoCAD MEP Training – For digital modelling and coordination.
- BREEAM/LETI/Passivhaus Courses – For low-energy building design and compliance.
- Low Carbon Consultant (CIBSE) – Specialised training in energy-efficient system design.
- Digital Construction and ISO 19650 (BIM Level 2) – Understanding data management and collaboration protocols.
- Health & Safety (IOSH, SMSTS) – Required for site work and risk management.
