Role In MMC
Tilers contribute to MMC by applying finishes to pre-fabricated modules, using precision techniques suited to factory or rapid on-site environments. They support efficient project sequencing, help reduce waste, and ensure high-quality finishes that meet airtightness, moisture resistance, and aesthetic standards.

Experience
- Labouring or assisting a qualified tiler on site
- DIY or community-based renovation work
- General construction or finishing trade support
Education
- Junior or Leaving Certificate
- QQI Level 4–5 course in Construction or Tiling
- Entry into the SOLAS Tiling Apprenticeship (NFQ Level 6)
Training & Certifications
- SOLAS Registered Tiling Apprenticeship (4-year structured programme)
- Safe Pass Certification (required for all site work)
- Manual Handling and Working at Heights certification
- Optional: Short courses in wet-room systems, underfloor heating integration, or tiling with large-format tiles
