Sustainability Manager

Purpose Of The Role

The Sustainability Manager drives sustainable construction practices by ensuring projects meet environmental, social, and economic sustainability targets, reducing carbon footprints and improving resource efficiency.

Role In MMC

The Sustainability Manager plays a key role in integrating sustainability principles within MMC by promoting circular economy practices, optimising energy efficiency in modular buildings, and ensuring compliance with green building standards.

Prerequisites

Education

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Additional coursework in sustainable urban planning, renewable energy, or circular economy.

Experience

  • Experience in environmental consulting, sustainability strategy, or green building projects.
  • Roles in waste management, renewable energy, or construction compliance.

Training & Certifications

  • Chartered Engineer (Engineers Ireland) status or equivalent.
  • PAS 2080 Carbon Management Certification.
  • ISO 14001 Environmental Management Training.
  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accreditation.
  • BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) Certification.
